Make an Extra $25,000 a Year Teaching Online

Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 3:30pm, Mark Cruthers teaches traditional high school students face-to-face in Pinion Hills, California. Then, after 4pm, Mark teaches homeschool students - online.

Last year, he and his wife, Deborah, made an extra $25,000 teaching 13 homeschoolers AP History, AP English and AP Psychology using a free, virtual classroom tool called WiZiQ.

And all Mark's students passed their AP History exams with flying colors, to boot!

I'd call what Mark's doing teaching for a living, not just a paycheck.

You can listen to him talk about his work HERE or on my blog at MAW'S TOOLBOX.

WHAT TO DO NEXT:

After you've listened to the interview, please post your thoughts using text and pictures below.

Alternately, you can speak them aloud, using your microphone, webcam, or telephone and hear what others are thinking on this VOICETHREAD.

    Meri,

    Here is the audio recording.
What a wonderful idea! You and Mark Cruthers sounded great. WiZiQ is certainly an asset for online learning.

    Thank you for sharing.

We have a virtual community and we all found this medium as a faster way to share knowledge or issues that we need to work upon. We got instant feedback and were able to speedup the decision making process. So we are using this more than a virtual classroom a virtual meeting room to sort out conflicts.

Ahh, so you’re meeting inside WiZiQ to have discussions? Wonderful to hear… I’m doing this, too, quite often with clients.

    Hi Meri,

Thanks for sharing this. I can see how WizIq could be a great tool for teaching ESOL online, particularly adults (I’m an ESOL teacher). I also am excited about learning how to use it for virtual team meetings, as Jza has.
